Overview

Nairobi National Park is one of the most surreal wildlife experiences on the planet — 117 square kilometres of open savanna pressed against the southern edge of a four-million-person capital city, with lion prides, black rhino, giraffe, eland, buffalo, zebra, hartebeest, hippo and over 400 bird species roaming free. The Nairobi skyline forms the backdrop to every photograph.

This half-day tour is the perfect addition to a layover, a business trip extension or a city break. Pickup is at 6am sharp from your Nairobi hotel; you spend three hours on game drive in the park; and you are back at your hotel by 11am for a late breakfast or onward connection. The park is one of Kenya's most successful black-rhino sanctuaries and lion encounters in the open grasslands are among the most photogenic anywhere in Kenya.

Easily combined with the David Sheldrick Elephant Orphanage (open 11am–12pm only) for a full half-day cultural-and-wildlife combo.
