Mountain Climbing
Kilimanjaro & Mount Kenya — by every route.
Mount Kilimanjaro is Africa's highest peak (5,895m) and the world's tallest free-standing mountain — a non-technical climb that any reasonably fit traveler can summit with the right preparation, the right route choice and the right operator. Our Kilimanjaro catalog covers the two best routes: the 7-day Machame Route (the famous "Whiskey Route", 85% success rate, most popular) and the 8-day Lemosho Route (the most scenic, 90% success rate, best acclimatization profile). All climbs include certified mountain guides, assistant guides, a dedicated cook, a porter team, full-board mountain meals prepared fresh in camp, quality 4-season tents, twice-daily pulse oximeter health checks, portable oxygen and an emergency first-aid kit, and pre/post-climb hotel in Moshi. We also run Mount Kenya climbs — Africa's second-highest peak (5,199m) and arguably the most beautiful — including a 5-day Sirimon-Chogoria traverse to Point Lenana that offers a shorter, cheaper alternative to Kilimanjaro. Both mountains are climbed year-round, with peak seasons in January-March and June-October when the weather is most stable.
