Budget camping safaris — real bush, real prices.
Camping safaris are the most affordable and most authentic way to experience the Kenyan bush — sleep under canvas at well-run public campsites, eat fresh meals cooked by a dedicated camp chef, and spend full days game-driving in Kenya's flagship parks with a KPSGA-certified guide. Our budget camping itineraries cover every duration from a 3-day Mara weekend to a 7-day, four-park circuit. The vehicle is a custom 4x4 safari minivan or Land Cruiser with pop-top roof; the group is small (maximum six guests) so everyone has a window seat. Most travelers on these trips are solo backpackers, couples, and small groups of friends in their twenties and thirties — though plenty of older budget-conscious travelers join too. The wildlife you see is identical to what guests in the lodges see — same parks, same game drives, same Big Five. Only the bedroom is different. Real safari, real bush, real prices, no compromise on the experience that brings travelers to East Africa in the first place.
